Kasey Harman — Founder

Founder & principal consultant

Kasey Harman

Kasey's horticultural roots run deep—literally. Growing up on her family's citrus farm in southwestern Arizona, she developed an early appreciation for how plants, people, and the desert environment interact. That foundation ignited a lifelong passion for cultivating healthy landscapes and thriving ecosystems.

Kasey earned her degree in Plant Biology from Arizona State University, specializing in Urban Horticulture. Her career began with hands-on experience across multiple sectors of the landscaping industry, giving her a well-rounded understanding of plant care, design, and management. In 2008, she founded Harmony Horticultural Consulting to bridge the gap between science-based plant care and the practical realities of landscape management.

Over the past 18 years, Kasey has become a trusted leader in diagnosing plant health issues and guiding property owners, estate managers, and landscape professionals toward long-term, sustainable solutions. Her expertise includes water management, soil fertility strategies, pruning best practices, and integrated pest management. With her guidance, countless landscapes have become healthier, more resilient, and more beautiful year-round.

Beyond her consulting work, Kasey has been an active leader within the Arizona Landscape Contractors' Association (ALCA) for more than 25 years and currently serves as Education Committee Chair. She is a frequent speaker for the Arizona Community Tree Council (ACTC) and the SHADE conference, and over the past two decades she has volunteered across the tree and landscape industries, teaching more than 100 professional classes to contractors, arborists, and landscape professionals throughout Arizona.

Today, Harmony Horticulture is a respected consulting team serving the Phoenix metro area and beyond, known for its proactive, science-driven approach to plant care. Kasey's blend of academic knowledge and practical field experience continues to make her an invaluable resource for clients seeking healthier, more vibrant landscapes.

Where It All Began

Roots in the Citrus Groves

Kasey's horticultural foundation was built long before her consulting career — on her family's citrus farm in southwestern Arizona. The values learned there still shape every assessment, every recommendation, and every client relationship today.
